Application and Examination Fees
Any individual desiring board certification by the American Board of Medical Marijuana Physicians (ABMMP) must request, complete and submit an appropriate Application and pay the required Fees.
A non-refundable application processing fee for board certification and recertification applicants must be submitted with the ABMMP board certification or recertification application and supporting documents. Failure to submit this fee with the application will result in the rejection of the application.
Only the application fee is due at the time of application submission for board certification by the ABMMP. The ABMMP may only accept examination fees after an applicant has been approved to sit for the written or oral examination.
Required fees are as follows:
- Application Fee: $250.00
- Written Board Examination Fee: $450.00
- Oral Board Examination Fee: $350.00
- Re-Certification Fee: $450.00 (5 Years)
- Re-take Fee: $600.00
The ABMMP accepts payment by check, money order, or paying by credit card.
Applicants approved to sit for the board certification or recertification examination will be notified after review and approval from the ABMMP Credentials Committee (at which time they will be referred to as Candidates). The notification will include detailed information regarding the examination, as well as an invoice for the examination fee.
Certification Examination Fees
Upon approval to sit for a board certification or recertification examination, invoices for the Written and/or Oral examinations, will be provided to the Candidate. The invoice must be paid within twenty-one (21) days of receiving the invoice. Payment must be in the form of money order, personal or certified check, or via credit card.
Individual Status / Designation
There are various designations of an individual’s status as they pass through the processes of application, board certification, etc., by the American Board of Medical Marijuana Physicians (ABMMP). The various designations are as follows:
An Applicant is an individual who believes they have sufficient experience, knowledge, skill and expertise to become board certified by the American Board of Medical Marijuana Physicians (ABMMP) and has submitted an Application to take the board certification examination.
An Applicant is deemed to be a Candidate when their Application to take the board certification examination is submitted and is deemed by the ABMMP to be complete, all required submissions have been received and deemed appropriate, and fees have been paid. Upon being deemed a Candidate, the individual is formally eligible to take the board certification examination offered by the ABMMP.
An individual is deemed a Diplomate when they have successfully passed both the written and oral board certification examinations of the ABMMP.
